Wander between the Canal and the Mohawk River, explore the fascinating geologic potholes, check out the hydroelectric dam, watch boats come in and out of Lock 17, sit on a bench and stare at the rock climbers.
For rock climbing permits, call 315-823-2400 M-F, or 315-823-1122 on weekends; they can be picked up at City Hall during regular business hours. You'll need a photo ID, proof of insurance if you're bringing a group, and a Parental Consent form if you're under 18 years old.
